I joined the virtual reality community Second Life (SL) and eventually figured out how to stream up my sound from my music den at home into SL. I have now completed the initial sound tests and streaming tests and have managed to get performance going. I am currently trying to kick start my career as a SL live musician, using the avatar Fyrm Fouroux. As soon as I get things moving I shall open up a SL section in my website here to provide a gig list and so forth.

So, I'll keep you posted on this exciting new development. I've listened to quite a lot of gigs in SL and, to be honest, the quality of the music varies much as it does in rl buskers nights but there is definitely some good stuff to be heard. And the musicians come from around the globe, although the predominant location is North America.
As for real life, I have picked up my second head cold this winter and this is such a nuisance for a singer. I'm over-dosing on vitamin C and hopefully that will help. I had been playing fairly regularly with my mates Terry and Tom, mainly down at The Smugglers on Roker beach in Sunderland. However, we don't want to get stale down there so we might have to go further afield for a week or two now that we are into the new year. Things have yet to establish themselves into a pattern after the seasonal holiday period. So, until the next time, I remain
